About this speaker

Rachel M. Robinson-Collins began her career in law enforcement in 1992 as a Dispatcher with the Hudson Police Department in Hudson, New York. In 2000, Officer Robinson joined the ranks of the New York State Police, as a uniformed Trooper. She has had the pleasure of working in and with various units throughout her career with the State Police, such as, the Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), the Trooper Exam Detail in 2004, and as a School Resource Officer from 2004-2008. She was also a part of the State Police’s Team who responded to assist in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina and in New York City after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In 2017, she was appointed to the rank of Technical Lieutenant, assigned to oversee the Central Records Bureau and supervises 18 members and civilians and where she currently works as an "essential employee." She provides some insight into how to maintain positive work/home/teacher life during her session with other parents and teachers. Rachel and her husband are currently raising two children who are matriculated in district school system.
