Alyssa Moore
Teacher, Hudson City School District Certified New York State Teacher, educated in Early Childhood and Childhood Education at The College of Saint Rose
About this speaker
Formerly an educator at Watervliet Elementary School, Ms. Moore is a well-loved and respected First Grade Teacher at Hudson City School District. She also makes time for her community by her work as Registrar at Columbia Memorial Health and demonstrates her love of the craft by also providing assistance to teachers at COARC The Starting Place.
Ms. Moore is a recognized supporter of the written word, especially that of children's books. She meets and attends to the needs of exhibitors of the Hudson Children's Book Festival that has been a fixture in Upstate New York and one of the more prominent gathering for children's book authors. This year the cancellation made recent award winners like Jerry Craft (an author staple) commit to waiting a year--when Ms. Moore will most likely help him and others, such as local and first children's book author, Ms. Kimberly Y. Erwin--with whom she provided her likeness to in a scene in this well-admired work. (She's the teacher holding the book!)
